it's been a fews days but i'm still here my loves! Let's re-cap shall we? In the last 4 days...

• the cold/flu came back with a vengence! but fortunately, it went away after a good night's sleep. I assume it might have been like an 'aftershock' like thing.
• i've been working on two "big" papers for my classes, plus 2 business class projects. big whoop.
• my car decided it doesn't want to start.
• my car still does not want to start.

so i've been a pretty busy, worried little bee. One thing shocked me, however, while i was checking my emails. I got a confirmation letter from CoastalScents.com saying I will soon be getting my items and here's the confirmation number to prove it.

(cue the crickets!)

umm... what stuff? OOOOOOHHHH! They must mean the shit i ordered on MARCH 12TH!!!! the shit i had given up hope in ever recieving... the shit i've been asking about for the last 7 weeks and was "assured" that the package was on it's way because it was already shipped using the shipping service i had asked for.  the same shit might be "lost" so next time (as they advised) i should ask for FedEx cuz it comes with an automatic tracking number.

i visited WetSeal today, originally because of that 2 for $20 deal they were having. But when I saw the shirts in person, I wasn't exactly impressed. But since I already made the trip, I picked me up a few jewelry pieces...

essentially, i only picked up 3 pieces. the bracelets were 2 for $8 and the rings were $5. But since one bracelet is actually a set of 3 and so are the rings, it makes me feel better to think i picked up 7 pieces for $13!!! LOL

i fell in love with this bangle the minute i saw it. i love the look of ivory and gold. i would never buy real ivory of course, and i can't afford real gold... so yea, it works out that i found this! LOL

So I guess I can thank my Spanish ancestors (for invading the Philippines) for my full C's, but I guess I could smack a couple Spaniards for my need of deodorant assistance and never being able to go sans bra. Eh, we'll call it even.

i got tagged by Ms. Jaclyn Rose to name 6 Unspectacular Quirks about me. that's gonna be a quite a mission considering everything about me is spectacular, LOL. i keed, i keed! well, here goes:

One - I genuinely enjoy Wowowee. I watch it because I want to, not because I happen to be in the living room while my mom happens to be watching her shows, LOL (don't lie, i know some of you use that excuse). Some people say it's corny or the girls are annoying, or Willie's stupid, blah blah blah. Yea well, different strokes for different folks, cuz I cannot stand shows like Gossip Girl and Laguna Beach. I like watching people be happy for a couple hours a day, six times a week. It's a break from the pains of poverty and all other drama. Whereas those other shows thrive on drama. Seriously, global-warming, continuously rising gas prices and things of that nature, that's what you should be worried about. NOT why your dumb-ass-of-a-boyfriend-that-you-shoulda-let-go-a-long-ass-time-ago didn't call.

Two - this might sound nasty, but I like to keep my chips (potato chips & such) in my mouth, until they get soggy enough to just swallow. I hate chewing them because they get in between my teeth and stuff, plus you don't really get to taste them. when you kinda let them melt... i can't describe it, its great to me. then again, i like soggy cereal, too.

Three - i love ketchup but cannot stand tomatoes. like how i love me some apple juice but won't even look at an apple.

Four - i can't stand people coming into my room. sometimes i tolerate it, but it really irks me when someone stays in there too long. i'll actually quite generous when i have more than enough, but not with space. LOL. i don't like folks standing or sitting too close to me. i guess because my room is essentially the only real space i can call my own, it bugs the hell out of me when someone tries to 'invade' it.

Five - i am miss junkfood junkie. i would rather die young from clogged arteries eating the food i LOVE than die a 90+ year old grass muncher. not to offend vegetarians, i love fruits and veggies, too. i just like mine fried.

Six - i unwrap my eggrolls. LOL. my best friend finds this extremely odd. but yes, i eat the meat/stuffing before i eat the wrapping. but i won't eat them separately.  they HAVE to be cooked together as a regular eggroll, so that i can enjoy unwrapping it before devouring it.

One reader, Nee, asked a question regarding how to use the Ly-Na Pearl Face Cream. I'll just post the answer here, in case others are curious as well.

Anyway, it's just a face cream. From what Anne has mentioned, she uses it as her night cream. With me, I started off using it as a night cream, but I wanted to speed up results so I've also been using it during the daytime. I put it on after cleanser and toner, then I follow it up with a moisturizing sunscreen, then a primer and all other makeup. But at night, I just put it on after cleanser and toner, and that's it. Hope this helps. There's really no wrong way of using this, you can apply it to affected area only if you like. However, if you use it during the daytime, you must also use some kind of sun protection, which is what all of us need to be doing anyway.

So I hit up Rite Aid today, originally just to grab some chips and a beer for my boyfriend butttttt... LOL. you know what's coming next.

mini-haul featuring NYX & Jesse's Girl

I've never tried Jesse's Girl products before so I had no idea what to expect from this company. However, always a sucker for neat packaging, I had to try it out! The green one is called "My World" and the blue one is "Fusion".

look at the details! it's almost too pretty to use!

if you don't stare too close, it almost looks 3D-ish... very trippy in person.

here's swatches of My World. i really didn't want to do this, i didn't want to ruin the image LOL. but i knew some of you would be curious to see how it actually looks on skin. (You'll know why I called them Area One & Two when you see the next picture) This is actually not that bad. I'm disappointed that the design got messed up, but I'll get over it. It's very sheer, very shimmery and it goes on velvety (I know it doesn't look it).

Now you get it? Area One & Two just refers to the part of the shadow that I swatched. Booooo.... it's not so pretty anymore.

this one didn't have much difference. Area Two for this one is probably only one subtle shade lighter the other one.

and this one is just in case anyone wanted to see Shangri-La in action. I absolutely love the yellow in this. it's too bad i can't provide you with individual names. I don't even know when NYX stopped individually naming their trios. They just have palette names now. I think it's stupid, it really helped knowing each color's names', in case you ran out of it but you didn't want the entire trio again, yeno? Then you could just buy that one color, but nooooooo... must be a new marketing scheme... booo!

He's a black Casio Exilim EX-S880 and I love him. Slim little dude, but with lots character. I got him for my birthday in January, courtesy of the boyfriend, and I admit, I still don't really know how to work him. He's got plenty settings to play around with but i'm really just too lazy to change the setting for the different types of pictures. He's incredibly kind, too. Very user-friendly, however the little navigation/circle pad thing is kinda annoying. It's a bit small for my taste, and sometimes when I press down it goes left. Of course, I didn't know he had this problem until I took him home. Eh, it's just like a dude to lie during your initial getting-to-know stage. You can click on the picture to learn more about him, and perhaps, you might even be interested to bring one of his siblings home.
